Taste of Laguna Beach is an event I look forward to every year because it brings together the best restaurants in the Laguna Beach community! This year, Taste of Laguna served as a food sampling event, along with a music festival!
The Chamber of Laguna Beach, KX93.5 and many other partners put together an event that catered to music lovers and foodies alike.

One of my favorite things about Taste of Laguna is the fact that you get to try many dishes from some of the best restaurants in Laguna Beach. Some of the restaurants I haven’t tried before, so it was an awesome opportunity to get a feel for what their food is like, what their atmosphere is about, and get a first look at the restaurants’ staff dynamic! I think that is so important! Seeing happy staff members that are enjoying themselves and working well together, just makes me want to learn more about their place!
Many of the booths at Taste of Laguna are accompanied by the executive chefs or restaurant owners (which in Laguna Beach…sometimes that person is both of those titles). How cool is that? Getting to see and meet the masterminds behind their craft is a one-of-a-kind experience. From learning about their passion to tasting some signature dishes– it’s all pretty incredible.
Many different elements brought the event together like having KX 93.5 onsite mixing tunes, a live art installation, a photo booth, and a silent auction! This gave many guests a variety of things to explore throughout the evening. The live art installation artist let me put my mark on the piece, and I was happy to do so. Can you spot that random orange line above “Laguna?”
The creativity of the vendor booths was nothing short of amazing. I am impressed by the amount of effort put into creating the displays that truly embodied the vendors home location! Over 30 local restaurants were in attendance for Taste of Laguna! Each one had a unique story to tell through their food sampling experience for Taste of Laguna guests.
Harley Laguna Beach at Taste of Laguna
The entertainment at Taste of Laguna was absolutely fantastic! There were 4 bands that represented 4 decades! During each hour of Taste of Laguna, there was a band that played music from that hours’ era! Talk about a trip down memory lane through music! The dance floor was a hot spot for the evening.
6pm = The 60’s = Woody and the Longboards
7pm = The 70’s = Polyester Express
8pm = The 80’s = Flashback Heart Attack
9pm = The 90’s = Sega Genecide
Each band played songs that the entire crowd recognized, and because they were bands of specific eras– it allowed for us all to sing along and dance to! I’m pretty sure I was on the dance floor most of the night because I loooooooooove all kinds of music and all the different decades that were represented. We heard everything from The Beach Boys, Kool & The Gang, Violent Femmes, Spice Girls and more! How fun, right???

Taste of Laguna is such an amazing event! If you’ve never been, it’s definitely a must! Especially if you enjoy trying new restaurants and love listening to live music! A special thank you to the Chamber of Commerce and KX 93.5 for their vision in creating an atmosphere for everyone to enjoy something at Taste of Laguna!
So next time you’re in Laguna Beach, try a new restaurant! There are so many delicious places that are one-of-a-kind. Here is a list of participating restaurants that were at the 2019 Taste of Laguna.
Also, next time you’re in Laguna Beach, check out Laguna’s only FM radio station, KX 93.5! I love to listen to their morning show.
