One way to reduce single use plastic in your home is to purchase or recycle jars and refill them! We’ve been saving old jars and taking them to refill stores in Orange County and refilling some of our household items.
We head to zero waste refill stores for items like dish soap, hand soap, laundry soap, multi surface spray and glass cleaner! We took an inventory on all of the single use plastics that we had in our home and then researched zero waste refill stores to see what they had to offer for refills.
There are quite a few refill stores in Orange County! Some I’ve been to and some are on my list to check out!
This is such a great concept. I hope there will be more like this zero-waste store.
What a fantastic idea! I have never heard of these before although I did see something like this in the UK where you can purchase rice, beans and pasta by filling up your reusable bags. I hope that this would be available soon in my area.
I’ve never heard of Zero Waste Refill Stores before! I think we don’t have such a thing here in Poland. I’d love to visit such places and I definitely support the zero waste idea! 🙂
This is an awesome concept! I remember back in college (15years ago) this was my thesis and my professor thinks I am crazy! But now, this sustainable concept is a big thing 🙂
What a great concept! I haven’t seen any of these near me but I hope the trend picks up.
This is pretty interesting. I love eco-friendly alternatives.
I love this idea. I love using reusable bags for the bulk bins so this is even better.
This is such a cool concept. I love the zero waste aspect. I hope they make a place like this around me.
I love this idea and wish we had more of them here. I know my sister in law is big into sustainability but it would be next to impossible to even start something like that here.
