Beignets in Laguna Beach

The Ranch at Laguna Beach reopened the snack shack that was located on the old pier and renamed it— Lost Pier Cafe.

The cafe serves breakfast and lunch daily. We’ve tried a few of their breakfast items including the breakfast burrito, avocado toast and the delicious beignets! The Paper Bag Beignets arrive fresh and warm from the oven and rolled in a beautiful amount of powdered sugar. After reviewing the menu, I noticed that the lunch menu has a lot of my favorites including ahi poke, lobster rolls and fish tacos—We’ll be back for those! You can check out the menu here.

I try not to eat too many sweets, but……Beignets are my absolute favorite! After my trip to New Orleans a few years ago, I’ve been pretty picky about beignets. I heard that Lost Pier Cafe served beignets, so we had to try them, and all I can say is that they are DELICIOUS. My daughter was a fan too!

One of the first things that you’ll see when you get to the Lost Pier Cafe is the signage—designed by artist Mikala Taylor. I’m a fan of the black chalkboard styled look, and the designs at Los Pier Cafe are so cool to see.

If you’re planning on spending the day at Aliso Beach and want to enjoy your meal on the water, Lost Pier Cafe rents beach chairs and umbrellas + sells beach towels and sunscreen. There is plenty of parking inside the lot, as well as on PCH.

After our few breakfasts at Lost Pier Cafe last week, we took a stroll down the sidewalk (to walk off our beignets…HA) and played on the playground that’s at Aliso Beach. My daughter loves to play on playgrounds, and this one is a lot of fun.
