Since Laguna Beach is my hometown and also where our little family currently resides, I rounded up a quick list of things to do— perfect for a quick trip to Laguna for the day. Laguna is such a unique town filled with creativity, inspiration and a whole lot of History.
Take the Trolley around town. Park anywhere in town and catch the (free) Trolley at one of its convenient stops around town. There is a trolley tracker app where you can check and see how close the trolley is.
Take a Walk Around Heisler Park. This is a gorgeous spot to walk around. Snap a photo at the Gazebo, have a picnic on the grassy lawn, watch the surfers along the beach, and people watch at Main Beach.
Visit Some Art Festivals and Museums. The Laguna Art Museum and Wyland Gallery are a must see. Both unique in their displays. Be sure to also catch the Festival of Arts. They display artwork of all kinds, including student art!
Discover the Tide Pools. The marine life in Laguna is fascinating. Take advantage of this little spot at Treasure Island beach (near Montage).
Coffee Break at The Grove on Forest. This is such an adorable coffee shop in the heart of downtown in the Lumberyard Mall. From their freshly brewed coffee and yummy pastries to their decor and ambiance, this little coffee shop will help kick start your morning or give you that afternoon push to keep walking around town.
Take a Stroll Around The Hip District. With art galleries, eateries, shops and more, The Hip District is an awesome area to explore.
Hungry? Grab a quick lunch at Taco Loco. You have to try the chicken quesadilla. It’s AMAZING. Also, I recommend you NEVER opt out of their guacamole. I’m pretty sure that would be a sin. Their guac is so freaking amazing, I can’t even….I CAN’T EVVVVEEEEENNNNN.
Must-Shop Boutiques. Tuvalu is my all time favorite store in Laguna. I wish our whole home could be furnished by Tuvalu. They sell unique coastal and beach-inspired items for your home. You also have to stop by AreoHome. Another home goods store with a unique vibe. The Shop. Laguna and The Soul Project are also two of my favorites. Both have a beachy, laid-back vibe and sell clothing and knick knacks.
Enjoy Happy Hour at The Rooftop Lounge. You’ll find beautiful ocean views and delicious cocktails at The Rooftop Lounge. They have a great selection of appetizers and an awesome Sangria that’s to die for! So good. It’s also a VERY beautiful setting to watch the sunset.
Grab Some Souvenirs from Fawn Memories Gift Shop. Need a souvenir? Fawn Memories has you covered. Shirts, Seashells, Cards, etc….this store has it all. Literally, you name it, They have it AND it’s guaranteed to say “Laguna Beach” on it.
