The Perfect Halloween Fun for Families at Knotts Spooky Farm

Posted in Family Fun

Knott’s Spooky Farm (not to be confused with Knotts Scary Farm…and if you do confuse the two, and you’re a family with young kids, GOOD LUCK) is a limited-time weekend event at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park. We recently took our daughter and she LOVED it. Here are some things we loved about our family fun day at Knotts Spooky Farm.

“The Monsters Are Coming, Charlie Brown”
In the Camp Snoopy Theatre at 11:45am, 1:15pm and 2:30pm the Peanuts gang gets together in costume to sing and dance to popular Halloween songs. We were smiling, dancing and singing along! It’s very entertaining. Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” is involved….so its DEFINITELY a must-see!

Ghost Town Livery Stable Creatures
You can get up close and personal with all kinds of different creatures in the Livery Stable located in Ghost Town. From Iguanas, Snakes and Spiders to things I’m not even sure what they were.

Ride the Grand Sierra Railroad to Camp Snoopy
The narration during this ride is very clever. Be sure to listen during all the stops! Also, look all around because there is something to see on both sides of the railroad tracks. I kept missing everything, but of course my husband and our daughter spotted everything and laughed.

Spooky decorations everywhere

Trick-or-Treating at the Ghost Town Treat Stops
All around Ghost Town there are stations where kids can trick or treat for candy. Upon entering the park, kids will receive bags for this activity. Knotts Berry Farm employees are stationed in designated areas along with interactive doors. Be on the lookout for friendly ghosts and ghouls walking around. Don’t worry…they are VERY friendly and pretty funny too.

Timber Mountain Log Ride Halloween Hootenanny
The Log Ride is all decked out for Halloween! It’s actually kind of really spooky in there. I was scared a little….

Pumpkin Patch
For a nominal fee, kids can decorate their own mini pumpkin in Ghost Town. Calico Town Square is also a great family photo opportunity in front of the family of pumpkins.

Dia De Los Muertos Celebration
The Dia De Los Muertos Celebration in the Fiesta Village is a walk through village where you can take photos with the displays, shop at it’s marketplace of goods, create necklaces, get your face painted, and more. We absolutely loved this area. The colorful interactive, educational celebration is colorful and educational.
