There are so many resources that help walk you through pregnancy and early stages of becoming a new mom. I put together a list of the best apps for new moms and moms-to-be that I used that will help ease some worries and concerns during your pregnancy and postpartum.
Apps for Moms-to-be
What to Expect – Free
The What to Expect app is a great resource during pregnancy because it gives you a weekly update on where you are (based on your due date provided) — it details trimester information, calculates how far along you are, estimates the size of your baby, and provides a countdown to your due date. There is also a community forum where you can join different groups based on a variety of topics. It’s helpful to talk to other expecting moms or even moms who have experienced some of the things you may be having anxieties about.
The Bump – Free
This app has a lot of extremely helpful and informative articles. Once you submit your personal information regarding your pregnancy, the app customizes the articles that come up on your feed to match the things you should be thinking about during that time in your pregnancy. From what to include on a registry to what to pack for your hospital stay, to even what labor contractions feel like….it’s a great resource all around.
BabyList Registry – Free
When the time comes to register for baby items, keep this app in mind. It’s genius! Basically, you can register at multiple stores and link it to a master registry list, BabyList. All of your registry items in one place. My favorite part about this registry app is that you can register for items from small shops!!! I love finding cute little online children’s boutiques from mompreneurs. Just add the link to the item, a photo and its price and it’s added to your registry. Once your registry is complete, you can request registry cards, and the company will mail them to you.—you can include the cards with baby shower invites or announcements.
Apps for New Moms
MammaBaby – Free (in-app purchases $3.99)
When was the last time your baby ate? Had a diaper change? Napped? There’s an app for that! MammaBaby is one of the best apps for keeping track of your baby’s activity throughout the day. This helps you get a general idea of your baby’s schedule. It’s nice to keep track of those things early on to help depict reasons for crankiness throughout the day.
Target + Target Cartwheel – Free
Let’s be real, Target is heaven on Earth…so having Target at your fingertips can be very dangerous. However, during those late night feeding sessions, you may want to browse Target to check for necessities…and the Cartwheel app will have plenty of deals and coupons for those items. You can have things shipped to your house or you can pick them up at your nearest Target. I recommend the latter option because it will get you out of the house! 😉
Honest Company – Free
Honestly, I love The Honest Company. I really love their online shop because everything is in one place and you can order quickly and conveniently. Also, it’s beautifully laid out and easy to navigate. There are more diaper print options online than in stores as well. If you’re looking for eco-friendly products for your baby, check out this app.
White Noise – Free
The White Noise app is awesome. Choose from all kinds of relaxing sounds for your little one to help them fall asleep. Our baby girl was a big fan of the ocean waves, rain, vacuum, and dryer.
