Choosing a resort to stay in while planning a Disney vacation is hard because there are so many awesome resorts to choose from. On our recent trip to Walt Disney World, we stayed at Disney’s Pop Century Resort for its convenient location, decade nostalgia and affordable price. I hope this post serves to be informative and helpful in your decision-making as you prepare for your upcoming Disney vacation. Here are the details about our stay:
Knott’s Spooky Farm (not to be confused with Knotts Scary Farm…and if you do confuse the two, and you’re a family with young kids, GOOD LUCK) is a limited-time weekend event at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park. We recently took our daughter (who is almost two) and she LOVED it. Here are some things we loved about our family fun day at Knotts Spooky Farm.
One of our new favorite places to get quick and delicious Mexican food in Laguna Beach is Asada Tacos + Beer. Asada Tacos + Beer is located in the Boat Canyon shopping center in North Laguna Beach (610 N. Coast Highway, Ste. 108, Laguna Beach, CA 92651). It’s the perfect place because you can enjoy two of the very best things: TACOS and BEER.
If you love music, dancing and brunch, then the Gospel Brunch at the House of Blues Anaheim is a MUST experience. Each Sunday of the month, the House of Blues in Anaheim (at GardenWalk) hosts an electrifying and uplifting Gospel Brunch that will get you on your feet dancing and singing along. I know, because I recently attended one and I think I sat down maybe once (because I had to eat, of course). Read on to hear more about my experience at Sunday’s Gospel Brunch.

I recently attended an event where an expert panel of working professionals and researchers discussed the topic of diversity and inclusion in Hollywood. The event was hosted by the UCLA Anderson Center for Management of Enterprise in Media, Entertainment & Sports and was held at the UCLA Luskin Conference Center.
Motorcycles aren’t my thing. I don’t like the noise, the exhaust, or the fact that they weave in and out of traffic causing me to have anxiety whenever they are around. There is something intriguing, though, when you gather over 300 motorcycles in one place with riders dressed in dapper attire for a purpose. That’s exactly what I witnessed yesterday, when over 300 vintage style motorcycles arrived altogether at Anaheim GardenWalk and were showcased on the upper level of the property. It was such an inspiring sight to see!
If you’re in Laguna Beach and looking for comfort food and casual dining, Reunion Kitchen has an amazing menu with a variety of selections. You’ll find a unique spin on some of your favorite foods that you already love. Here are some of the things that my good friend and I tried that were absolutely amazing. The portions are large so come hungry!
Well….we did it. We spent 12 hours at Magic Kingdom in Florida with an 18 month old who JUST learned how to walk. We surprisingly didn’t have any major mishaps or anything crazy happen while we there (no tantrums, no clothing changes, etc…). It was a pretty smooth day despite the random rain here and there. I put together some tips that worked for us on our first trip to the Magic Kingdom with our toddler and wanted to share.
This past week we were in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina on a family vacation with my in-laws (celebrating my Father-In-Law’s 60th birthday) and their extended family. The family took our daughter to the beach, and we had a “parents day out” and grabbed a casual lunch at Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort. Here are some photos from our day at the resort.
One of my favorite things to do on a Saturday morning by myself (mommy “me” time) in Laguna Beach is grabbing a coffee and picking up fresh flowers in the Lumberyard Mall. It’s conveniently located on Forest Avenue in the heart of downtown Laguna. There are little shops, a few eateries, art galleries and boutiques.
